CMC Value Index
CMC models are very popular. The great wealth of details and the prototypical materials make it a chronograph for the desk. These models are particularly stable in value, some even enjoy a significant increase in value, that why we did the CMC Value Index.
It is all the more interesting to find out what value my model or my collection is. This prompted us to draw up a table of values. The actual sales prices from various online auction platforms were used for this purpose. So not the asking prices, but the values that were actually sold for. About 3000 sales were evaluated. Every prize was viewed and judged. Only sales of flawless models with packaging, ie „mint and boxed“, with us grade 2-new for the model and grade 3-used for the packaging were included in the evaluation.
For the past year, CMC models were an excellent investment! On average, the value of the models has increased by 12%! But there were not only winners, but also losers. The biggest loss was 42%. Biggest win at 142%! That is two and a half times the starting value!
The price list has 22 pages. Approx. 230 models will be evaluated. The mean sales prices and the annual mean value were calculated for each quarter. The performance can be seen from the quarterly figures.
